FLY: Hanoi, Vietnam

As the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam, Hanoi is a thriving metropolis. The city turned 1,000 years old and it is making a buzz within the travel community.

Coming to Hanoi for the first time will definitely give you a culture shock, replaced by awe and delight as you start to discover the charm and history of this city. A lot of travel writers has dubbed Hanoi as the quiet, charming younger sister of the more chaotic and lively sister, Saigon a.k.a. Ho Chi Minh City.

Here are some of the places you can visit when you drop by the city:

Turtle Pagoda on Hoan Kiem Lake

Temple of Literature

The Opera House

Hanoi Flag Tower

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

One-Pillar Pagoda

I will tell you more about these sites once I organize my photos from my walking tour around the city.

Happy New Year 2011!

A new year and a new gadget.

Yes, I received a new gadget from my hubby this year. He managed to surprise me (a feat!) with a spanking new iPhone 4 hidden inside the new fuschia laptop bag he gave me.

Now all I need is a micro-SIM to use this pretty baby

How was your holidays? What did you receive? Do share!
