Hello Kitty x Mimobot

How cute is this?

Starting this September, you can get funky Hello Kitty USB flash drives from MIMOBOT. They're just one of the many collaborations Sanrio is doing for the celebration of Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary on November 1st.

The pop-art designs will not just include Hello Kitty. They will also have designs for Badtz-Maru®, My Melody®, Kuromi®, Keroppi®, Chococat®, and TuxedoSam™. Each USB flash drive will include extras like wallpapers, icons, screensavers and videos. Storage size ranges from 2 GB to 16 GB.

I love MIMOBOT! In fact, I already have a Tokidoki x Mimobot in Pirate Nero. And I super love Hello Kitty, so I couldn't resist ordering this:

The package should look like this (but in a tube-shaped packaging)

I also ordered an extra protohoodie for my Pirate Nero.

Buy them now at MIMOBOT.com!

A Different Kind of Ad

Received this thru e-mail today

Dear friends,

When you drive along EDSA (Guadalupe - Northbound side), you may perhaps spot a billboard that's different from many other commercial billboards in the area.

The girl is beautiful, yes, but she is not endorsing any brand of whitening cream or shampoo.

The dog is cute and it is not a purebreed dog. Gasp! Could it be that they have actually decided to give a "starring role" to a mutt?

Yes. It is the PAWS billboard promoting shelter adoptions and responsible pet ownership.

Karylle, celebrity spokesperson for this campaign, posed with our rescued animals to help raise awareness about the many dogs and cats who are in need of good homes at the PAWS shelter.

In this particular billboard, her co-model is "Shoeshine" a once-starving dog whom PAWS rescued from the streets of Marikina.

We will send out more "behind-the- scenes" stories of this campaign, and what Karylle has to say about the lifetime commitment that comes with pet ownership.

Meantime, we would like to thank EASTWOOD MALL for sponsoring this billboard to support our campaign on animal adoptions.

Spread the word about animals in need of second chances -- tell your friends to visit the PAWS Animal Shelter or PARC in Aurora Blvd,Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, QC (http://parc. mefindhome. org)

Our office hours are 10 am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays. Note: We are closed on Sundays and holidays.

Our fur-orphans will be waiting.. so we hope to see more of you around PARC!

Best regards,
Anna

Program Director
The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

Last year, 71 cats were adopted from the PAWS shelter.

FLY: U2 360° Tour 2009

Hello!

Trying to catch up on my travelogues, gonna start with my last trip to Europe.

Last Summer, we traveled to London, Paris, Barcelona and Germany. We had tickets to watch U2 360 concert in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) and this is why we went to Europe. MH is a U2 fanatic and he does not want to miss another amazing U2 concert!

We landed in London and stayed at my elder sister's flat for a few days before heading out to Bonn, Germany to visit my younger sister.

The day of the concert, we left later than planned and that was a big mistake. We encountered heavy traffic on the highway. As we get closer to Gelsenkirchen turn-off, there was a looooooong queue of vehicles, concert goers we assumed. It was almost 8:00pm, and we were still on the highway! MH drove straight, past all those vehicles in queue, hoping there will be a gap so we can squeeze in. And just before the turn-off, we found a big gap and hurray, we were able to squeeze thru! Thanks to all the nice people who waved us thru =)

Another problem was parking. Gelsenkirchen is not that big and cars were parked a couple of blocks from the arena. Because MH didn't want me to walk that far, he tried to find a spot close to the arena. And we got lucky again! No more spots on the side walk, but then police let us park on the island! As soon as we swerved to the middle, all the cars behind us followed and in less than a minute, the island was full of parked cars!

Luckily, the side entrance of the arena was only a block away from where we parked, so we ran inside like everyone else. Luckily, the front act (Snow Patrol) was still onstage, we had enough time to grab drinks and some merchandise.

Few minutes after settling in our seats, the lights started to dim. Everyone started screaming, the concert was obviously about to start! I feel bad for those who were still stuck in traffic, they're gonna miss some parts of the show. I hope they got lucky like we did in the end.

The show was great! I really love going to live concerts, it's like everyone knows each other. People chat with each other, lost in translation, but who cares? We're all enjoying the show and the company of everyone around us. MH had a blast, sang and danced like no one's watching hahaha!

I hope there's another concert next year, coz we'll definitely be there!

Ellen DeGeneres is the new judge on AMERICAN IDOL!

Who would have thought?!?

Ellen DeGeneres has joined AMERICAN IDOL as a fourth judge! Ellen will sit alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi and offer her own unique perspective to the contestants throughout the competition.

The ninth season of AMERICAN IDOL premieres January 2010 on FOX. DeGeneres will join the judges’ panel after the auditions, which will feature appearances by guest judges Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain.

“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on AMERICAN IDOL,” said DeGeneres. ”I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”

“I could not be more excited to have Ellen join the AMERICAN IDOL family,” said creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “Ellen has been a fan of the show for many years, and her love of music and understanding of the American public will bring a unique human touch to our judging panel. I can’t wait for this next season to begin.”

“We’re all delighted to have Ellen join our ninth season of AMERICAN IDOL,” said executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz. “Beyond her incredible sense of humor and love of music, she brings with her an immense warmth and compassion that is almost palpable. She is one of America’s foremost entertainers, and we cannot wait to have her join our team.”

Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment for FOX added, “We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres join the AMERICAN IDOL judges’ table this season. She is truly one of America’s funniest people and a fantastic performer who understands what it’s like to stand up in front of audiences and entertain them every day. We feel that her vast entertainment experience – combined with her quick wit and passion for music – will add a fresh new energy to the show.”

The Fab Four

I'm not talking about The Beatles... unless they wear Choos and Louboutins!

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattral, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis returns for the Sex And The City sequel! Yay!

The Fab Four hits the streets of New York in their chica outfits. I love the asymmetrical mustard dress on Cynthia aka Miranda!

Love the 80's vibe (Day-Glo wristband and midriff top)in SJP's outfit! Especially LURVE the bag she is carrying... Can anyone ID that for me?

Kim Catrall is working it in a belted strapless black dress, purple pumps and black Ray-Bans.

I'm glad that Cynthia's character, Miranda's style has evolved from power suits to mom style. I've seen her carry that brown-orange bag in two separate scenes in the movie.

Gorgeous! Apart from the bony knees and scary veins, SJP looks great in this "recycled" Christian Dior newspaper-print dress from SATC Season 3 Episode 17 (Twenty-Something Girls vs. Thirty-Something Women).

OMG! Look at those Louboutin heels and that bag... If i'm not mistaken, this is a Bea Valdes creation. Go, girl!

The movie will be shown next year, May 28, 2010. Can't wait!
